PTKPI is one of privatized companies of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), it established on 1st April 1995 which encouraged by PTFI strategic decision to involve more national as well as local entrepreneurs in PTFI mining operations. Since then PTKPI has been assigned by PTFI to provide strategic support for its mining operation.
PTKPI businesses are organized in four major divisions: Marine & Port Operations, Maintenance &Rebuild ofMobile Equipments, and Road & Transport, which consist of the following coreactivities:

Operate Marine Fleet & Port Facilities which include managing import-export and Container Terminal-Depots

Manage Cargo & Personnel Inland transportation to and from various destinations from Port Site till MP74
